A hard-use lightweight Merino boot sock engineered for warm weather and humidity. LU-2 prioritizes durability while targeted cushioning, ventilation, and compression keep the fit controlled inside the boot.

About

The warm-weather workhorse.

The Lightweight Utility is built for the user who prioritizes durability but does not need full cushioning. Its traditional plaited Utility construction puts nylon reinforcement toward the outside of the sock, where it can take abrasion from the boot. Inside, Merino manages moisture and temperature across hot, humid, and high-output conditions.

As a Class 2 platform, the Lightweight Utility delivers critical-area coverage with reduced bulk. Cushioning is concentrated through the heel, toe, and footbed, with slight leg bulk for added coverage and protection. A non-binding upper with calf release, top ventilation, arch support, graduated compression, and Y-heel geometry complete the hard-use platform.

Less cushion. Same Utility DNA.

Care

Machine wash your socks inside out on a gentle or wool cycle in cold water (30°C / 85°F or below), using a mild pH-neutral detergent or a dedicated wool wash. To hand wash, soak them for 10 to 15 minutes in cool water with a small amount of mild detergent, gently squeeze the suds through, and rinse in cool water without wringing or twisting.

Skip the fabric softener, since it coats the merino fibers and strips their natural moisture-wicking and odor resistance. Chlorine bleach permanently damages the wool and breaks down the spandex, and hot water will shrink and felt the knit.

Lay the socks flat on a towel to air dry, as hanging them wet can stretch them out of shape. If the care label allows tumble drying, use the lowest heat or air-fluff setting, though repeated heat will wear down the spandex over time.
